More DescriptionStrangely, Politics-According to the Bible ignores so much of the Bible that speaks to politics. Grudem commits the same mistakes of today's humanist theories, of both liberal and conservative flavors. With liberalism, he lacks proper political content, since he ignores Moses-and he ignores crucial texts that teach the continuing validity of the Mosaic Law: Matthew 5:17-20 and 2 Timothy 3:16-17. With conservatism, he lacks proper political authority, since he ignores Christ-and he ignores crucial texts teaching the preeminent authority of Christ in all things, even politics: Psalm 2, 2 Corinthians 10:5, and Colossians 3:17.If we want to do politics according to the Bible, we must hear the political King invested with all authority in heaven and on earth (Matt. 28:18), who demands we adhere to the content revealed through Moses (Matt. 5:17-20). Otherwise our political books will read more like politics according to talk radio than politics according to the Bible.
