More DescriptionIn this lighthearted mystery, James Borek Gabriel, better known as Gabe, discovers a Honus Wagner T206 sports card worth ten million dollars, maybe more. After recovering from shock and disbelief he realizes that metaphorically speaking, he has hit the home run to win the World Series game of financial independence. However, his wife Angie, cautions him to beware that he is not tagged out at first base. The next morning it looks as if Angie's prediction may come true when the valuable card is stolen and a man is found murdered in front of Tinker's New, Used & Antiques in which Gabe is one-third owner. The situation does not improve and Gabe and Angie try to cope as life throws many a curve ball their way. Through all of this, we witness spiritual growth of several of these memorable characters, salvation of one and continued skepticism of another. Gabe comes to realize that his life dream of "the good life" is not as important as a deeper relationship with Christ. Angie experiences the inner peace that only Christ provides in times of trial.
