The tribulation (the end times, the apocalypse) is divided into two parts: the first part for this generation, and the second part for the distant future. The end times begin with four sets of events, the so-called four horsemen of the apocalypse: (1) World War 3, (2) severe civil unrest, (3) food shortages, rationing, and famine in wealthy nations, (4) death from a variety of causes and the effect that the fear of death has on society.
This book also predicts a number of blessings from God for this generation: a Warning from God which illuminates the conscience, a day of consolation, a day of miraculous healings, the unification of all Christians in one holy Church, a great Ecumenical Council which settles many disputed questions, a very holy Pope called the Angelic Shepherd, the effective spread of the Gospel to very many souls, and a time of peace and holiness for the world.
The author, Ronald L. Conte Jr., is the translator of the Catholic Public Domain Version of the Bible, a conservative Catholic translation of the Latin Vulgate. He is also the author of the books: The Catechism of Catholic Ethics and Forgiveness and Salvation for Everyone. His other theological works cover diverse subjects, including: moral theology, Mariology, Biblical chronology, and several additional books and booklets on eschatology.
