In my adult Sunday school class on December 12, 1982, I spoke to the class about the Theory of Evolution and expressed my beliefs about how that theory is affecting our life and how it will lead to the Great Tribulation. More DescriptionIn my adult Sunday school class on December 12, 1982, I spoke to the class about the Theory of Evolution and expressed my beliefs about how that theory is affecting our life and how it will lead to the Great Tribulation. Remarkable as such a statement may sound I believe it to be very much the truth. Therefore, I have written this book to retrace the steps that led to the above lecture and also to share my findings concerning the relationship that exists between the Theory of Evolution and the Great Tribulation. I hope to relate in this summary not just a review of that Sunday morning class but also to provide a trail of my research. Perhaps, after reading these pages, my reader will be led to conclude, as I already have, that the end may be much nearer than we think.Chapter one will present the reason for all of my research. In trying to teach the Book of Revelation, I found several questions about the Great Tribulation that I could not answer but felt should be answered. With all of those questions on my mind, I left the Book of Revelation knowing that my learning was not complete and that it would not be complete until I learned some more answers about the Tribulation.Chapter two will move away from the Tribulation for a bit and follow the class into a study of the book of Genesis. However, it will appear again based on my examination of that one book right after having studied the other. From that sequence of events, I was able to see that the accounts of those two seemingly unrelated events, Creation and the Tribulation, were drawn closer and closer. In chapter three, the Theory of Evolution will be shown to be the catalyst that will eventually set off the Great Tribulation. That chapter will discuss the devil and his tactics and also look at four reasons why the Tribulation may be near. Finally, in chapter four, the Book of Revelation will be examined again in narrative form to answer those questions that had initially been raised in chapter one. I know that we will never stop the trend of our society to oppose God. So we must use our time wisely and prepare ourselves and our families against the inevitable future. We must turn to the Lord while there is still time.Even though I did not realize it at the time, my research into the above topics more than thirty years ago actually touched closely upon dispensational theology. The second head-to-head confrontation in this book matches the Edenic covenant which corresponds to the first dispensation. The third head-to-head confrontation in this book matches the Adamic covenant which corresponds to the second dispensation. The fourth head-to-head confrontation in this book matches the Noahic covenant which corresponds to the third dispensation. The fifth head-to-head confrontation in this book matches the New Covenant which corresponds to the sixth dispensation. The sixth head-to-head confrontation in this book matches the Davidic Covenant which corresponds to the seventh dispensation. While they may not match perfectly, they are close enough that I consider myself a dispensationalist based upon my own independent study.
