Set in Washington, D.C. during the early Reagan years, the mystery begins when Davy Nash, disturbed by his recurring dream of John F. Kennedy's funeral, takes a midnight walk through the streets of Washington, D.C. When he sees the lifeless body of Senator Richard Hurd of West Virginia being pulled from a nasty wreck on Key Bridge, he knows he has witnessed a historical event. But when the next day's newscasts air with no mention of the tragedy, Davy begins to suspect that his insomnia has brought him face-to-face with something bizarre and dangerous. Davine C. Nash, 39-year-old bumper salesman, and pal Huck, find that their happy-hour yarns of international intrigue are becoming a bit too real.
