More DescriptionThis book seeks to provide us with the full blast of the New Covenant realities in Christ Jesus-asit reflects exhaustively on the full package of God's dealings with man under this new order andsetting. It attempts to present the New Testament curriculum from a condensed standpoint thatseeks to eliminate every form of human imposition that tends to still bind God's people back tothe regulations teachings and practices of the old Covenant that was unprofitable: "Stand fasttherefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with theyoke of bondage." (Gal. 5:1)It stresses to establish the uniqueness, efficacy, efficiency, effectual supremacy of thenew covenant over the old covenant, and tries to re-establish what is Biblically permissive to usunder the New Covenant-where Jesus is the minister that has entered beyond the veil, and totally relieves us from the baseless regulations of the law: "The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God. And it was not without an oath! Others became priests without any oath, but he became a priest with an oath when God said to him: "The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: 'You are a priest forever.' Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant." (Heb. 7:18-22, NIV).It re-affirms that truth here-as Christ being the guarantor of the new covenant which is alsoimmutable and infallible-both in principle and practice because it derives its life from the life ofChrist and not of man: "Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God throughhim, because he always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest meets our need - one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens." (Heb. 7:25-26, NIV)The Book intensifies the solemn truth about the eternal perpetuity of the New Covenant, andsummoning us as children of God to fully depend on what it provides in us through Christ:"Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs ofwhat was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeablethings in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offeredto us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm andsecure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, hasentered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek." (Heb.6:17-20, NIV)
