Here he explores the ramification of effect that these behaviors would have on his life despite him never returning back to a life of crime long after his release from prison over seventeen years ago. However, though he had changed the criminal behaviors that once plagued his soul during his youth, many questions as to "why" during his adulthood; he could not reach or exceed a certain level of positive stability in his life. This very question that weighed on his mind for so long had sparked the inspiration to conduct a thorough and deep soul search into the personal memoirs of his pass negative experiences, written in the form of a true story; as well as a starting point of honestly reflecting on his self own sabotaging actions predicated by his own fears of success and change. However, within this same period, though he had already converted to the Islamic faith for sometime before his soul search, this reflective soul search marked his total embracing of the Islamic sufi tradition and its ritualistic principles, and as a result he was able to overcome those obstacles in which he attributes his Islamic conversion to truly being"The Prescription for his Broken Soul!" In this book he describes biblical symbolic allegories (verses) in relation to his life, poetic verses of reflective emotion that defines moods of moments during various periods of his life; along with an interestingly developed story of struggle, triumph and transition of his place of raising in the legendary Bronxdale Projects in the Bronx, New York; from the eradication of gang culture to the pioneering of universal hip-hop culture he gives thanks to those who made it possible. The fusing of the Autobiography, poetic verses and folklore allegory gives this book a unique flare that is well rounded while at the same time maintaining its theme and purpose; thus rendering it a collaboration of entertainment, amusement and enlightenment while extending the wisdom of food for thought.Today, Robert Muhammad is currently a student/practitioner and researcher of clinical hypnosis as well as an advocate of religious interfaith dialogue.
