In 2005, Missoulian photography editor Kurt Wilson introduced a new Sunday newspaper feature, "The Way We Were," each week publishing a vintage family photo submitted by a reader. In the years since, the newspaper has published hundreds of old black-and-white photographs, celebrating western Montana families at work, at home and at play in years gone by.
