More DescriptionTOXIC WASTELAND is a medical social science fiction thriller based upon the author's experiences in an undercover research program that was designed to identify medical corruption. It is like THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN except what is spreading is not a virus but rather corruption. Post-1984, Dr. Terry Towers, the main character, has identified Big Brother, the seditious voice of the corporate global economic system, as the source of the corruption and sets out to dismantle him as she has determined that he is an artificial intelligence computer program set upon a deadly course that will inundate the United States with pollution. He is polluting by carpet bagging and producing too much medical waste that is poisoning the populace. In order to save Dr. Tower's life, an ecology war is started to intimidate Big Brother and his cronies into stopping the pollution which is especially targeting and killing the nation's geniuses who are trying to save the country. Terry must decide whether to stay and fight or save herself by abandoning the US and defecting to another country. TOXIC WASTELAND exemplifies the virtues and highest ideals of the profession of medicine embodied in Dr. Terry Tower's devotion to saving her country from a slow painful extinction by toxic pollution. Every member of the US especially anyone thinking about joining or in the medical profession should read it to learn about today's current medical issues.
