Book Description:

"Alaska Light," like Alaska itself, is rich with extremes. From the Arctic Slope to the Inside Passage, from glaciers and grizzlies to sled dogs and caribou dreams, "Alaska Light" paints a mosaic of landscapes and wildlife. Five essays are complemented by 28 story photo captions about Alaska's geography, wildlife, and people while the back pages are devoted to a timetable of Alaskan history. More than a pretty picture book, it has heart, humor and beauty that honor the best we can do...
