More DescriptionDirtybird is a record label featuring quirky underground house music. Hatched in the Lower Haight in 2005, Barclay Crenshaw (aka Claude VonStroke) began pressing vinyl records with a small amount of cash and a dream. Starting with a core group of four San Francisco-based DJs, Justin Martin, Christian Martin, Worthy and Claude VonStroke began playing music together in Golden Gate Park in 2005 and continue to work together today. Meanwhile, the label has grown to feature well over 60 artists from all over the world.First gaining popularity in Europe, Dirtybird's style of bass-driven beats eventually caught on in United States, buoyed by the rise in electronic music's popularity and festival culture. The company moved to Los Angeles in 2012, and Barclay's wife Aundy become COO/CMO shortly after. Together, they transitioned Dirtybird from a popular record label into a full-blown music, clothing and events company. Today, it is one of the country's most recognizable dance music brands.Since its inception, Dirtybird has focused on building a community where fans and artists come together. It was created as an alternative to the many aloof brands and non-inclusive cultures that exist in the scene. Dirtybird has always emphasized music, art, fun and friendship. This 300 page 12" x 12" coffee table book tells the story of the first 15 years of Dirtybird (2005 - 2020) with over 500 photos and record label art.
