Huckabee, Mike (Author)
Mike Huckabee was born in Hope, Arkansas on August 24, 1955. He received a bachelor's degree in religion from Ouachita Baptist University and attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary before dropping out to take a job in Christian broadcasting. After a career in broadcasting and advertising, he spent 12 years as a pastor and denominational leader. He was the lieutenant governor of Arkansas from 1993 to 1996, the governor of Arkansas from 1996 to 2007, and ran in the 2008 Republican presidential primaries.

He has written several books including Do the Right Thing, A Simple Christmas, Can't Wait Till Christmas, A Simple Government, and Dear Chandler, Dear Scarlett: A Grandfather's Thoughts on Faith, Family, and the Things That Matter Most. His book, God, Guns, Grits and Gravy became a New York Times bestseller in 2015. He currently hosts the Fox News Channel talk show Huckabee and The Mike Huckabee Show for Cumulus Media Networks.
