Los hermanos Robles descubren el laboratorio secreto del loco doctor Laffitte en el sótano de un viejo caserón en París. Entre los extraños inventos que encuentran, hay una máquina infernal capaz de producir alucinaciones atemorizantes. A causa de un descuido, los malvados científicos de la empresa de investigación Trouton roban la máquina y plantean un negocio para enriquecerse.
