This can lead to discouragement in students, poor grades, and high dropout rates. Instructors are expected to provide quality educational services to students, as their jobs depend on it, but they end up teaching to students who are ill prepared to learn. Skills on how to read effectively, to write an excellent paper, give a good speech, how to create an abstract and outline, how to prepare for and take various types of exams successfully, time management and organizational skills, taking notes, and much more if taught to students would help them to thrive in school.
