More Description"Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will enter through them and praise God. This is God's gate; The righteous shall enter in therein" (Psalm 118). In Psalms we find God's blessings to those who do good. But who is a righteous person? What parameters define doing good? How can real justice be achieved? The answers are in the Torah of Moses, the Divine guidance that leads all humanity to connect with its Creator.Being righteous in God's eyes involves effort, but it also provides spiritual and physical benefits, and a life of quality, meaning, happiness, and peace, with a true connection to the Creator. And it guarantees the reward for one's soul when the redemption of the world comes. God, in His wisdom assigned roles and tasks to Jews and Gentiles. To the Jews He gave 613 commandments (less than half of them apply today, without the Holy Temple), and to the Gentiles, He gave 7. These are the 7 Laws of the Righteous Gentiles. According to the Torah, these 7 commandments were given after the flood to Noah, hence they are called the Noahide Laws. God gave this Divine moral code for the benefit of all societies. These commandments command the creation of courts of justice, and command against idolatry, blasphemy, murder, forbidden sexual acts, robbery, and eating flesh of a living animal (cruelty to animals). The details of these precepts extend to all aspects of moral life. The author, Rabbi Moshe Weiner, explained them with great knowledge and understanding in his book, "The Divine Code." The details of these laws are compiled in that work, which was an effort with leading expert rabbis and scholars. This eternal Divine code teaches conduct that anyone of any race or social status can apply and live by. It is the original Divine code, and it reinforces correct values, good behavior, morality, study of these laws of God and knowledge of Him, along with respect for God, for all people, and for the creatures that accompany us on this planet. These foundations of faith are presented here in Part I.
