More DescriptionSonora Storm is book one of a trilogy called "The Wally Web Mysteries" with a primary setting in Tucson, Arizona. The main character, Walter Wallace Webb, aka Wally, is an ex-Marine who owns and operates Tangled Web Solutions, a private detective agency. His "Girl Friday" is Shannon McGinnis who also doubles as his sweetheart. They have an ongoing battle of wits as they endeavor to prove the innocence of Lucinda (Lucy) Vargas. The FBI suspects Lucy of culpability in the car bombing of her estranged husband's Mercedes at the Westin La Paloma Resort Hotel with him in it. He is playboy Mafioso Joey, the Spider Man, Tarantella from Chicago who is trying to negotiate a $1,000,000 drug deal with the Sinaloa Drug Cartel in Mexico. There are chase scenes along Tucson streets as "swarthy faced" men in a black GMC Yukon run a member of Wally's investigative team off a bridge into the Pantano Wash. Wally's aggressive investigative methods eventually take him to Sinaloa, Mexico to track down the killers. He runs into trouble with the Sinaloa Drug Cartel there but meets an ex-patriot by the name of Indian Dave and his "Woman" Mama Manero who take care of him during a Sonoran monsoon storm. In his "visit" down Mexico way Wally also turns up vital information about a botched gun running deal initiated by the ATF called "Operation Fast and Furious". Sonoran Storm is an exciting detective mystery thriller that not only thrills you but also informs you about the huge profitability of the drug trade and the high cost to American citizens in trying to stop it. Look for books two and three of THE WALLY WEBB MYSTERIES coming in the near future. They will be called Rocky Mountain Cry, with a setting in Denver, CO and Big Sky P.I. with a setting in Montana. You will not be disappointed. H. Edward Mitchell
