Author Biography

Rick Barot was born on February 19, 1969 in the Philippines. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University and received his MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. He teaches at the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College.

He is the author of The Darker Fall and Want. In 2016 he won the PEN Open Book Award, UNT Rilke Prize, and the Publishing Triangle Thomas Gunn Award for his poetry collection Chords.
