More DescriptionThis biography profiles an important Life lesson, that subjects that fascinate us, that stir us, can give our life a purpose that can help thousands of other people. Zach Hunter was only a seventh grader when he received his inspiration. He was studying abolitionists and notables such as Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parks, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and other Civil Rights leaders. When he discussed this with his Mother, she informed him that slavery is still active, at that time it was impacting more than 27 million lives. He was astonished and immediately knew, he was going to become a person who would fight against modern day slavery. He founded a student-led campaign called Loose Change to Loosen Chains to raise money for groups that rescue slaves. Today, hundreds of student groups launch Loose Change to Loosen Chain campaigns on their own campuses to impact far-reaching change.
