Divided into two main sections, Why? explores the enduring mystery of finding meaning in suffering. The first part shares a simple and intimate account of Tobie’s life and her mother’s wrestling with suffering and the questions it raised. Along the way, Beckham describes the support that the Bible offers to Christians. The second part shares excerpts from Tobie’s various journals, providing glimpses into her life of faith.
