This book is the first attempt ever made to compile knowledge about the neurophysiology of the human spinal cord acquired by recording electrical events from the space adjacent to spinal structures (epidural space). Moreover, illustrations have been produced in a computerized method that were recorded under different technical specifications but presented under identical standards. This book provides information about the present professional and scientific achievements in this particualr field of human neurophysiology. Information on the electrophysiological characteristics of presynaptic, conducting electrical events as well as post-synaptic stationary electrical events. Information about spinal cord electrical events is given according to different segmental spinal cord levels and spinal cord portions. It will be useful for physicians using electrical events recorded from the spinal cord electrospinograms, to monitor spinal cord functions during surgical interventions, as well as for researchers who are advancing the application of new physiological, pharmacological, surgical and potentially neurobiological procedures for the restoration of impaired spinal cord functions.
