Judith Buckrich is an Australian author, born in 1950 in Budapest, Hungary. Her family moved to Australia in 1958. In her career, she has taught writing at Deakin University, and serves as Vice President of the Melbourne Centre of PEN. She has written one-woman shows, short stories, articles and has published numerous works. She won the Local History-Small Publication Award at the 2016 Victorian Community History Awards for her book, The Village of Ripponlea.
