Steven Erikson, a pseudonym used by Steven Rune Lundin, was born in Toronto, Canada on October 7, 1959. He is an anthropologist and archaeologist by training and a graduate of the Iowa Writer's Workshop. He is the author of the Malazan Book of the Fallen series and the Bauchelain and Korbal Broach series.
