More—“Bumps in the Road” relates to the events in my life which go to show that a rolling stone can, and in this instance did, gather some moss. In my mid-thirties I was told, on more than one occasion, “You’ll never see forty!” and whoever said that was right. I went by it so fast, I never even noticed it! If there is a lesson to be learned from any of this, it would be one which I always ignored. “Learn from the mistakes of others; it makes life easier and a lot less painful!” You’ll find very few references to the romantic episodes, marriages, divorces, etc., in my life. Some things are best kept private and I still respect the ladies involved. After all, a true British-born gentleman may kiss, but he would never tell!
