More DescriptionThis Green Paper sets out the following priorities for the Ministers for Women: (i) Supporting families, particularly as they bring up children and care for older and disabled relatives; (ii) Tackling violence against women and improving the way we deal with women who commit crimes; (iii) Empowering black and minority ethnic women to build cohesion within their communities and as a bridge between communities. Members of Parliament are asked to give their views on whether these are the right priorities, and how they should be taken forward. The public consultation will be led by the Women's National Commission which will consult with its members, feeding back views by the end of September 2007.
