Gillers has also written numerous articles on many topics, including Kenneth Starr and the Whitewater scandal.

Gillers graduated from Brooklyn College and received his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1968. After a brief stint in private practice, he turned to teaching and is now a professor of law at New York University School of Law.
