The Eleventh Sheep

Kyle Mewburn was born in 1963 in Brisbane, Australia. He earned his Bachelor of Business Degree at the Queensland Institute of Technology. He became a full time writer in 1997, writing children's books. He had previously spent time as a journalist, EFL teacher, interviewer and machine operator.

His titles include: The Hoppleplop, The Bear in the Room, Kiss! Kiss! Yuck! Yuck!, No Room for a Mouse, Duck Stuck! and Little Dog and Scruffy Old Cat. In 2015 his title Dragon Knight: Fire! made the New Zealand Best Seller List. It also made the New Zealand Children's Book Awards 2015 shortlist in the Junior Fiction category. Kyle will be featured at the annual Storylines Festival of New Zealand Children's Writers and Illustrators 2015.
