Two boys are captured by marlgan devil- birds on a sandbar off Forsyth Island. They escape but the devils find their camp. The people in the camp trick the devils by bringing out lots of other boys. This particular version of the story is based on recordings of the story told in Lardil (the traditional language of neighbouring Mornington Island) and Mornington Island creole by Gully Peters.
