Author Biography

Fertik, Michael (Author)

Michael Fertik was born on October 1, 1978. He is an American author, internet entrepreneur and privacy advocate, recognized for pioneering the industry of online reputation management. He studied American History and Literature at Harvard College, and received his JD from Harvard Law School.

While clerking for the Sixth Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals, Fertik read stories regarding cyber-bullying and the effect it had on people's lives, which led him to found Reputation.com.

He is the co-author of two books with David C. Thompson, The Reputation Economy and Wild West 2.0.
