I take the reader into my own madness, how it feels to be mentally ill, how I survived a very traumatic childhood, and yet despite everything, I still talked and fought with God. Although Beneath the Bare Light Bulb tells about six months of my life, it took six years to get it written, and that is where the real journey begins. I held nothing back in my book, but I also did not just focus on the abuse, mental issues, violence, empty relationships. No, I also speak of some very happy times in my life as well. I share my visit to Heaven, which happened more than nine times. I tell of the many men I have been with and how I found a healthy, loving relationship that grows deeper with each and every day. I am sharing my story in the hope that it will help others to be inspired and to know that it doesn't matter where you come from, it's where you decide you want to be. Know too that you have always been loved unconditionally by God.
