More DescriptionA 10-minute opera for Baritone soloist (Ezekiel) and 3 additional singers (the "aliens)--a soprano, a soprano or mezzo, and a tenor. This opera is a setting of part of 19th-Century New England poet John Greenleaf Whittier's poem "Ezekiel", and explores the inner world of the Old Testament prophet Ezekiel as he wrestles with the impending doom of the Israelites, and as he strangely encounters seeming "alien" beings as described in Ezekiel Chapter 1.This piece is highly-charged, intense, and highly dissonant. Please contact the composer for instrumental parts for this option.A digital recording is available of this piece at no charge. Please contact the composer at michael@clearandconnect.com to get this recording and/or to discuss potential performance.
