More DescriptionEverything his readers expect from Jerry Seaman is here: intrigue, fast-paced action and passionate romance. But what makes "Moving On" extraordinary is the character's relationships to each other as they cope with the difficulties of surviving everyday life. Some of them seem to be trying to fail at success. The author is once again looking into the future. Nat Webster has created a solar Learjet that makes use of his Searoc Beam. The plane operates fully solar and can circle the earth at 550 mph using no conventional fuels. He has also created a solar beam that may soon be the military's weapon of choice. Phil Billings, married 10 years now, still dreams longingly of his college live-in who is still taunting him. This leads his wife Maggie to take drastic steps. Ed Randolph seems to be recovering from his mental breakdown, but his actions threaten to destroy the lives of everyone around him. Ellen Webster's life-long dream of climbing Mount Everest finally materializes. But that dream ends suddenly as the all-woman team inches its way along the rugged Khumbu Glacier. Eleven-year-old Robbie Randolph is plagued by two inept parents who tell him how much they want him, but in reality they crave the millions of dollars the boy may have inherited. Suspense fills these episodes throughout the novel. The result is the pleasure of a good read.
