More DescriptionIn the Massorite Talmidi community, 'Theophany Day' recalls the ascent of Moses to the top of Mount Horeb, which resulted in the gifting to Israel of the Torah - specifically at that point, the 'Book of the Covenant', and the tablets of the Ten Commandments. However, an even more significant event took place atop the mountain on that morning: the manifestation of the Glory of God - the Theophany, when the Divine Radiance broke through and passed by Moses. The third day of the Fourth-Month is observed by some Talmidis as a day of personal devotion and prayer, when we read the Book of the Covenant, and meditate on the mystical meaning of the Kavodh Adonai - the Glory of God, the aspect of God which purifies and cleanses our souls, restores our souls to full health, and makes of us a new being.
