Barry has some baggage of his own, including a tendency to fly off the handle at inappropriate times, but Marylin’s baggage seems to outweigh his. It contains a shady past, a kid brother who tries to con him every time they meet, and a crooked ex who wants Barry to fly him someplace in his light plane, but won’t tell him the details.
Who cares? She's absolutely gorgeous. She even looks great wearing coveralls, heavy boots and a parachute.
He's not sure why a girl who looks like a fit mate for a warrior king is suddenly sharing his humble bed, but is that any reason to kick her out of it?
So, when a smooth talking, well-dressed man lays a little fan of dirty green on his coffee-table, why shouldn’t he pocket it? If they are in cahoots and playing him for a sucker, he can always give the money back and toss her out on her shapely butt, can’t he?
Sure. All he has to do is stop loving her.
Not an option? No problem. He'll just fight off a couple of hired thugs bent on killing her brother, escape by air, and bring her along on an exhausting search through tumbled boulders atop a nameless Mexican mountain for a package they may not recognize even if they find it. Then all he’ll have to do to thwart the gun-toting employees of the money-bloated family determined to possess the package themselves, is make a soul-searing decision he is not at all sure he is capable of making.
It’s a big order for a guy who originally just wanted to tend his own garden and continue carrying a beautiful skydiver aloft on weekends.
Sound like fun? It is.
Deadly serious fun.
