Author Biography
Palamas, Kostes (Author)
Palamas is the central figure of the New School of Athens. Born in Patras, Palamas was an erudite, profound, and prolific writer. His complete works include 18 volumes of poetry, fiction, drama, translation, criticism, and articles. Inspired by the cultural and historical legacy of ancient Greece, Byzantium, and the heroic era of 1921, he was influenced by both ancient and contemporary thinkers. Often nominated for the Nobel Prize, Palamas failed to gain during his lifetime the international reputation he deserved.
