More DescriptionThis book has three major components: First, it is a reflection. It is what I have been pondering and praying about and also preaching and teaching as I was doing a cross-cultural evangelism as a Diaspora among Americans, people from Africa and people groups from other regions. This is somewhat a journal of my journey, just made a bit more structured and presentable. Thus, in writing this book I was "building the plane while flying it." Second, this book is an exploration of the experiences and potential of Diaspora people groups, specifically Africans in the United States. "Diaspora" here is used for individuals as well as groups who are here in the United States as international students, refugees, immigrants and also missionaries sent to the United States from other countries. It designates people who live outside of their homeland.Third, this book is about the importance of cross-cultural evangelism as opposed to evangelism exclusively within one's own people group. It is about going the extra mile to convey the message of the gospel while crossing language and cultural differences. It is about reaching out to people who are different than us.
