More Description
Richard was born with a severe malformation and after reaching the age of puberty he became bitter and angry at God and the world. Richard was all "skin and bones". He had the appearance of a living skeleton and by the time he was 14 years of age he measured 6 foot one inches tall and weighed only 95 pounds.
For most of his teen years he felt depressed and defrauded by life, but God was working in his life which eventually resulted in giving him joy and a sense of purpose and fulfillment. His mother initially said, "Richard, I feel sorry for the woman who marries you." Richard married Leta Thomson in 1968 and soon moved to southern Mexico. They have lived in harmony for the last 55 years and have shared their love-filled home and lives with others.
Richard relates some of the amazing events that have taken place in their life of adventure and his unusual sense of humor.
