A Special Forces team treads through a forest area in South America. Three men stay close while the others spread out. When suddenly gun fire surrounds the area. Instinctively the men find themselves returning fire. Once the smoke cleared, Captain Crassus searched for his men. Only finding four unharmed the captain gripped the barrel of his riffle as he clinched his teeth.

While one of the men knelt, he pulled the dead soldier's dog tags from his neck. The captain gripped his soldier's shoulder, "Come on Victor. Let's make sure our target got caught in the cross fire.

Branches breaking and heavy footsteps pushed through the brush. "It's me so don't shoot!"

"Robert do you not understand what the word stealth means? This is a covert operation!"

"Cap, target is decapitated and others as far as I can see are eliminated."

"Good! I promise each and every one of you, I am going to change the way we do business here. Our soldiers need a secure path with better intel. Now everyone, strap one of your brothers to your back and let's get the hell out of here!"

Crassus kept his promise. He, Victor Vance, and Robert (Bear) Sampson created a corporation that delt in government and private industry contracts, C&C Inc. Which quickly rose to a multibillion-dollar consulting firm.

After the death of Victor Vance the other two men continued on. While Crassus takes sole control of managing the company, Bear commands the Intel missions.

Today, Marcus Vance, Victor's son, struggles with telling his mother that he has joined Robert's team in the company. Meanwhile Marcus' high school sweetheart Karen takes an internship in New York. Marcus finds himself indecisive with the idea of ending their relationship or joining her in New York. The lies begin while Marcus tries to keep the truth of who he works for from the women he loves.

The story starts to unfold when Marcus joins Bear's team on a mission to South America to secure financial investments from a ruthless native business partner.

While Bear leads his team through a jungle in South America, they come upon an unlikely renegade from a small village in a valley below. Tasking Marcus with the responsibility of caretaker; Marcus finds himself overwhelmed by the insolence of their captive only to discover the truth of who he has in his grasp.

Marcus quickly finds himself undeniably attracted to the wrong woman. After experiencing life and death situations, both kill to protect the other while they fight their raw attraction. Eventually finding themselves in each other's arms only to breathe life in the wrath of the ruthless South American businessman Señor Reyneir.
