The entries are organized in 32 subject sections ranging from agriculture to women and their children. . . . The roles and needs of African women have been largely neglected in Third World policy-making by governments and international organizations despite the existence of recent research providing the basis and justification for new policies. This work, the first volume of a three-part bibliography, makes that research available to researchers and policy-makers.
