More DescriptionAiming Higher is the first book in the Military Mentorship Mastermind series. The Military Mentorship Mastermind is a concept founded in 2020 to continue the high-performing leadership growth and mentorship found in our United States Military. Our military is known for its ability to cultivate leaders who make life and death decisions that shape the future of this nation with limited information on accelerated timelines. Mentorship is the key secret to consistent and accelerated military leadership development. The US military demands definitive leadership on two-year rotations with exponentially increasing levels of authority, responsibility, and accountability. Individuals are required who are both intrinsically and organizationally motivated, deliberately and routinely educated, and prepared and willing for the challenge of next-level leadership when both the lives and future of our nation is at stake. How do these individuals ensure they are prepared for the daily challenge and burden of leadership during the execution of each command assignment? The secret is to live and grow within a safety net of vertical and horizontal mentorship. Thereby, each leader stands on the shoulders of giants, encompassed by mentors who have endured the challenge before, embraced by peers who are enduring similar challenges alongside them, and empowering the next generation to follow in their footsteps. This mindset of mentorship, when properly translated to corporate America, drives efficient and effective organizations that realize accelerated success and profits. In recent years, military professionals sought small pockets of peers in which to continue this growth. The first cohort decided to put pen to paper and share their thoughts about mentorship as a seed to grow others who are both developing their exit strategy from a military career and transitioning their military experience to the business sector. Each author in this mastermind has donated their time and works to this project. All profits will be donated to charity. It is our hope that this book sparks growth in every person who reads it and encourages them not only to achieve higher levels of success, but to devote time to developing others.
