Twenty-two days later she was found by a supply train that had been delayed at Fort Leavenworth. While the Sheriff in Oregon City tried to find Amanda's only living relative, one Cleveland Waser, he placed Amanda in the care of Robert and Rose Harrigan. Amanda thrives and grows on the Harrigan farm during the historical time of Oregon Statehood.
