Author Biography
Murray, Peter (Author)
Penny Dann was born in Slough, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom. She attended Amersham College in Buckinghamshire on a two year foundation course and then she studied visual communications at the Brighton College of Art. Her end of college project about the history of tea became her first published book in 1985.

Her work was featured in anthologies, early readers, fairytales, and poetry collections. Her books include the Secret Fairy series, One for the Pot, and Why Not Stay for Breakfast? She illustrated several children's books including Too Many Tickles written by Thomas Taylor and Polly Parrot Picks a Pirate written by Peter Bently. She was a member of the Brighton Illustration Group. She also worked on advertising, editorial, and packaging projects and designed a soft toy. She died from cancer on December 20, 2014 at the age of 50.
