The book will inspire new generations to aspire to the greatness that the ancestors achieved.

Africans have contributed excellence in scientific thinking, but this contribution has usually been minimised or ignored by historians. With the publication of this book, the omissions have been corrected. The book synthesises the known data into an accessible account of African technological heritage. As such, it deserves a place in every Ethiopian school, library, and institution.
