A second part is dedicated to the infancy gospels and Acts of the Apostles, including the Gospel of James and the Act of Thekla, Andrew, and Peter. The third part deals with the texts and traditions in which women speak as authors, including the Passion of Perpetua, the poems of Proba and Eudokia, and the pilgrimage account of Egeria, and analyzes their reception of biblical women's texts. German description: Der vorliegende Band untersucht im ersten Teil jene apokryphen Texte, die erst in der Neuzeit wiederentdeckt wurden (insbesondere durch den Textfund von Nag Hammadi), und durchleuchtet sie im Hinblick auf ihre Rezeption genderrelevanter biblischer Passagen. Ein zweiter Teil ist den Kindheitsevangelien und ApostelInnenakten gewidmet, unter anderem dem Protevangelium des Jakobus sowie den Theklaakten, Andreasakten und Petrusakten.
