Augustina's journey is a very personal path. She was born with the heart and courage of an adventurer. When she was a young age, she knew that she would leave her hometown in Eastern Europe and come to America. It was just a matter of waiting until she was of legal age to leave Poland. She knew she would find a way - that wasn't the issue. Her bigger concern was first telling her father, then leaving her family and four siblings, especially her baby sister Maria.

Riddled with guilt, fear, and the unfulfilled dreams after arriving in America, it never occurred to Augustina to give up, though that would have been the easy way out...
