In addressing this, there are chapters within this field guide on drawing cross-sections, drafting and presenting 'fair copy' maps, and on preparing geological diagrams from field work suitable for inclusion in reports. This revised and updated volume includes a new section on vegetational guides to underlying rocks and an appendix on the use of the plane table in geological mapping.
