Clark Worswick is a photographic historian and a photography collector. He is presently
Consulting Curator of Photography at the Peabody Essex Museum, Salem, Massachusetts. His books include The Last Empire: Photography in British India, 1865-1911; Imperial China: Photographs, 1850-1912; Japan: Photographs, 1854-1905, Princely India, and An Edwardian Observer. For over three decades he has been involved in American documentation projects.
