Bethel de Centerville's 4th. great generation grandson "Knight" Sir Thurston Bassett came to England with "William the Conqueror" in 1066 and became the Lord of Drayton, Staffordshire, with five hides of land at Drayton, to be name the "Lord of manor of Draiton" and later in the Domesday Book of 1086 he is listed as "Thurston" as Lord of the Manor of Draiton, Staffordshire, England. His descendant "Leon Alphonse Bessette (1896-1966) arrived in Hardwick, Vermont, United States of America in 1916 and married "Dorilla Rosalie Boudreau on Oct. 28, 1918.
