King's first shark tracking cruise with WHOI scientist Dr. Frank Carey, a pioneer in acoustic fish tracking and considered a world's authority on the physiology, behavior, and ecology of the great migrating fishes of the sea-among them tuna, sharks, and swordfish, who in 1979 made the first body temperature measurements of the great white shark.
