Author Biography
Preston, Kenneth (Author)
James Roy was born in western New South Wales in 1968. He writes fiction and non-fiction for young people. His first novel was Almost Wednesday (1996). He has written over twenty books including Captain Mack, Billy Mack's War, and One Thousand Hills (with Noel Zihabamwe) which won the 2016 New South Wales Premier's History Awards, Young People's History Prize and the 2017 New South Wales Premier's Ethel Turner Prize for Young People¿s Literature.
