Wolfram Kandinsky was born Daniel Grace Kandinsky in 1959. He graduated from St. Louis University and became a Shakespearean actor. However, he found his place as a narrator. He began working with Miro Recordings, and soon became one of the first narrators for Books on Tape in 1975. He read some 200 unabridged books into microphones, including the work of Larry McMurtry, James Faulkner, Ernest Hemingway and Joseph Conrad. He died after a long illness on July 6, 1994 at the age of 52.
